I'm Back...

  • Reading: Stories that I write for my Creative Writing class
  • Watching: I Love You, Man
  • Playing: Soul Calibur IV
  • Eating: Burgerville burgers(My God, that spread is DIVINE)

It's been almost a year since I last posted a journal entry, so I figured I'm more than due for a new one. About now, I've been in Washington for a month and a half, and I'm enjoying it profusely; I can't help but laugh when people here complain about it being cold. Seriously, they don't even KNOW. Although, I have to give them that, from how moist it is, thirty above feels like somewhere around ten to zero, so it's not too much of a pussy thing. I still can go outside at that temp with just a T-shirt on, though, and they all look at me like I'm crazy.

I've only got one semester to go before I graduate, as I didn't quite get everything in Alaska, and I Washington, they have a few different requirements anyway. Going pretty well, though. The closest teacher that we have to being a stick in the mud would have been irritated within the first two minutes of having to deal with Mr. Beaudoin's humor, so that's a good thing. Also, I've managed to keep all my classes up, so I've got no doubts that I'm going to be out by late January/early February, whenever Castle Rock ends half the year.

There is one sad part about me being back here. Back in February, my mom had managed to get off of smoking, and mostly through mine and Timmy's(my brother) support did she actually manage to stay off. From February to the middle of September, at least. I saw her walk out onto the back porch and light up a cigarette, and I suddenly wanted to yell something very colorful at her through the door. We hadn't had a conflict that included the subject at all, though, until about a week ago, which didn't turn otu too great. She tries to tell us that she hates to be smoking again, and that she did it, because her cravings flared up when she had nothing to do... nothing to do my ass. In Alaska, you have nothing to do. Should you have the luck to be living in a house in town, not a cabin, you actually have friends to talk to. And it wasn't until she came down here, into Washington, that she started again. Bullshit... I plan on letting her best friend, who was motivated to stop smoking, along with her husband, by my mom's effort, know that she's started up again. The disappointment that She would have in her would probably tear my mom apart and convince her to stop for good, finally, lest I drag another loved one into it.

Oh well. Current issues are done being talked about, so I think I'll put an end to this entry.

Hmm. Sounds interesting! ^^

I watched your guys' video. KICKED. ASS. I'm surprised you guys haven't really been put on the map in America; I haven't heard of you before, which I truly regret. I'll be trying to get into more of your music later; I really like it!

it's really hard to get known in america for a german band ;)
maybe because noone understands what we're singing about :D
but I'm glad you like it ;)
:iconmanly-man:
Well, look at Balzac; they're a foreign punk band(Japanese), and they'd had some problems coming through at first. But, once they got an intro during another band's concert, they managed to reach cult status(at least) in America, and they'd even made an album with The Misfits.

And with them, it sounds like they're holding their tongues when they sing >.<

If you just find your best chance at snatch it, you oughta be able to do fine.
